Bommelwereld has opened!
The adventure begins: Bommelwereld has officially opened its doors in Groenlo.
After years of preparation and construction, the long-awaited indoor theme park Bommelwereld opened it’s doors on Friday, October 3rd, 2025. Guests will be immersed in the wondrous world of the beloved comic book characters Olivier B. Bommel and Tom Poes.
The new, fully themed indoor park, located next to Marveld Recreatie, is completed. With a size of 9000 m2, the park officially opened following a celebrational ribbon-cutting ceremony with mayor Annette Bronsvoort van Oost Gelre and Milou Toonder, granddaughter of comic author Marten Toonder.
Bommelwereld is a tribute to the impressive legacy of Marten Toonder and offers families a day full of adventure, stories and entertainment, regardless of the weather circumstances.
The indoor park features more than 20 attractions directly inspired by the famous Bommel stories. Visitors can, amongst other things:
- Race past rocks on the thrilling roller coaster, the Bulderbaan
- Be amazed in the themed attraction the Oude Schicht
- Climb and play in the Klauter Magazijn
Bommelwereld is built with eye for detail and accessibility, so children with and without a disability can play and explore together.
