Bommelwereld, opening in Fall 2025
An indoor theme park in Groenlo will open, fully themed around the comic book characters Olivier B. Bommel and Tom Poes. An idea by Edwin Bomers, owner of Marveld Recratie.
A magical adventure of 9000 square meters
In 2025, Groenlo will welcome a new and exciting attraction: Bommelwereld. The unique indoor theme park is set to open on October 1st, 2025 and is expected to become one of the region’s most important highlights. The entrepreneur Edwin Bomers is leading this ambitious and promising project. Bommelwereld will be developed by Marveld Recreatie in collaboration with Toonder Compagnie. The beloved characters Tom Poes and Mister Bommel will be at the heart of this magical adventure.
Attractions and experiences
Bommelwereld will be located in a hall of approximately 9000 square meters, where the world created by Marten Toonder will come to life. Attractions themed around Tom Poes and Mister Bommel will include:

- Zweefmolen – Swing Carousel
- Glijbaan – Slide
- Vissenmolen – Fish Carousel
- Drakencarousel – Dragon Carousel
- Reuzenrad – Ferris Wheel
- Eendencaroussel – Duck Carousel
- Familieachtbaan – Family Roller Coaster
- Trekvlotten – Raft Ride
- Draaiend Schommelschip – Spinning Swinging Ship
- Vrijevaltoren – Freefall Tower
In addition, the park will feature a theater and museum, fully themed around the 177 stories of Toonder.
